About me:

Shirley holds a first class Honors Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School and a Diploma in Bereavement and Grief Studies from CITY Colleges.
Shirley also holds Certificates in: Art Therapy (PCI), Couples Therapy (PCI) and a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (IICP). She is also currently undertaking a Masters in Loss and Bereavement with the Irish Hospice Foundation.

Shirley’s counselling philosophy is an integrative one but she believes that the most valuable agent for change is the establishing of a genuine therapeutic relationship, which is authentic and non-judgemental, and one where empathic listening comes first. She believes that one size does not fit all and her training allows her to be more flexible in terms of tailoring treatment to the needs of each unique client.

Shirley is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

Shirley is available for both long and short term work with adults over 18.
