Children And Adolescent

CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS SESSIONS - FACE TO FACE

MyMind provides services for children and adolescents. The services we provide are counselling and psychotherapy and creative art therapy services. MyMind does not provide assessments or reports. The full rate (€50) applies to children and adolescents sessions at MyMind. Sessions for children and adolescents are exclusively face to face.

For children under the age of 13, the first appointment takes place with the parent(s) or guardian(s) by themselves. This allows them to explain to the mental health professional why they’re looking to bring their child in for an appointment, and learn more about what the appointments will look like. For adolescents over the age of 13 and under the age of 16, their parent(s) or guardian(s) need to attend the first appointment to sign a consent form for the adolescent to attend sessions. The parent(s) or guardian(s) will need to stay in the building for the duration of the appointment. The mental health professional will discuss with the adolescent and their parent(s) or guardian(s) how future appointments will proceed. For parents of 16-17 year olds who are in secondary school and wish to avail of benefit rate session, this is not possible. If under 18 years old, appointments will be booked under child/adolescent rate with parental consent needed.
