About me:

Naomi holds an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy from The Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences (ICHAS) and is a pre-accredited member of NAPCP. She works from an integrative approach, drawing on a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques to support the diverse range of issues a client may be experiencing.

Naomi emphasizes creating a safe therapeutic relationship through active listening and attuning to the needs of the client, as this allows issues to be shared and explored in an emotionally safe climate. She has a special interest in the area of Neurodiversity, having spent eight years supporting Autistic adults in community settings. Naomi's approach is trauma-informed and she believes the connection between brain and body is huge and ensures to focus on how trauma can impact both. She is committed to ongoing continuous professional development and has completed training in suicide alertness and intervention (SafeTalk and ASIST), understanding self-harm, DBT, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), and Autism Studies.

Naomi is available for both short and long-term work with adults.
