About me:

Helen has obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and has completed year 1 of a Masters in Addiction Counselling and Psychotherapy She is an accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adheres to their Code of Ethics.

Helen is committed to helping people learn to cope with the realities of life in order to live happier and healthier lives. Her work focuses on providing a non-judgmental space in therapy where clients can address the difficulties in their lives that cause distress.

Helen finds that people come to therapy for help for a variety of reasons throughout life. Some may come for just one session just to talk about a particular issue they are having while others may have a more serious issue like childhood trauma, addiction including behavioural addictions including shopping, gaming, work and sex, as well as depression. Clients may attend for many sessions and continue to come intermittently for many months even after therapy has ended.
