Qualification BA in Counselling and Psychology

Siobhán Keane is an Accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and has completed her BA (Honours) Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy through Cork Institute of Technology. Siobhán uses an integrative humanistic approach with clients, which she believes assists in creating the necessary relationship to support, explore and ultimately learn skills for present and future difficulties. She works together with the client to create a safe, confidential and supportive environment. She is available for short-term, long-term and solution focused work, as the client requires. At present she works with adults only.

Siobhan is practicing since October 2011, she joined the MyMind team in May 2013, working with individuals on their experiences with anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression, external and internal relationship difficulties, self-resourcing, stress and work-related issues.

She believes in the therapeutic process and how it is a unique experience, allowing an individual to develop skills to be with current day and potential scenarios.

On a personal level she finds support in activities that range from walking in nature to expressive dance. These forms sustain her growth in mindfulness, meditative presence and openness in each moment.
