About me:

Rajesh Madayil is a psychotherapist with post-graduate qualifications. He holds a BA in Social Science followed by Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and an MA in Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School. He is an accredited member of IAHIP and adheres to their professional guidelines. Rajesh works with individuals aged 18+. Accredited by RNIB for providing therapy for clients facing sightloss issues.

Rajesh’s approach to therapy is a humanistic and integrative model (a combination of Psychoanalytic, client-centred, existential, gestalt, family systems, mindfulness, body-oriented approaches, etc). The techniques he uses are informed and guided organically by the emerging needs of the client. His aim is to enable his clients to be free from the psychological barriers that prevent them from experiencing, involving, and investing in their life. Identifying strengths, enhancing value systems, improving self-awareness, and enabling communication skills are all integral parts of this therapeutic journey.

Rajesh’s experience has provided him with opportunities to work with various emotional dysregulations. Some of the manifestations could be excessive anxiety/stress, anger, constant low moods, low self-esteem, etc to name a few. He has also had experience in working with various manifestations of trauma like undue fear, irritation, agitation, panic attacks, impaired individual / social functions, sleep disorders, fatigue, disassociation, etc. Other areas he has dealt with are attachment issues, relationship issues, obsessive-compulsive habits, loss/grief, and bereavement. He has extensive experience in the health care sector, So he is uniquely positioned to provide therapeutic support to persons affected with challenging health conditions.
