About me:

Qualification: Paul has a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy and is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

Approach: He works as an integrative psychotherapist with a strong emphasis on client-centred therapy. Paul was trained as a person-centred psychotherapist which means the client is always the main focus of the therapy. Paul has also undertaken some training in CBT techniques and uses them when he feels they are appropriate.

Paul is available for short term or long term therapy. Paul works through English and is available to see individuals over 18 years of age.

Paul believes strongly in the healing power of the relationship with a therapist and that simply being listened to and witnessed is healing. Paul has a particular interest in language; that the stories we tell and the language we use to tell them are powerful ways to uncover our hidden and sometimes unhelpful ways of seeing the world.

Paul has experience working with a wide range of issues including:

anxiety,
depression,
stress,
sexuality,
chronic illness,
bereavement and loss,
relationship issues,
financial stresses.
