About me:
As a senior student at Cork Counselling Services Training Institute, Micheál Canty is on the cusp of completing a prestigious BSc (Hons) degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy. With four years of rigorous training and hands-on experience, Micheál is committed to helping clients uncover the root of their emotional struggles and transform their lives.
Working in full alignment with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's (IACP) code of ethics, Micheál creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their innermost thoughts and feelings. He believes the heart of personal growth lies in the quality of the therapeutic relationship, a space where trust, understanding, and acceptance lead to profound change.
Micheál offers in-person counselling to adults (18+), guiding them through short-term challenges or supporting long-term growth. His approach is grounded, empathetic, and solution-focused, helping clients navigate troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to reclaim a sense of balance and contentment in their lives.
