About me:

Approaches: Person-Centered, Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor

Mary Boylan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex
University in collaboration with PCI College and is an accredited member of the Irish Association for
Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

Mary identifies working within an integrative framework drawing on more than one theoretical modality
rather than one single theory and believes that no one theoretical model is comprehensive enough to
explain all areas of the human experience. By careful and appropriate blending of relevant theory,
interventions are formed to suit the client’s individual needs. I integrate and draw from a humanistic,
psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral perspective. Mary believes that the therapeutic
relationship between therapist and client is integral to positive outcomes in therapy. Person-centered
counselling provides support through listening and creating a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental
space to meet people where they are in their lives.
