About me:

Lisa has completed a B.A (Hons.) In Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Certificate in CBT and a Certificate in Choice Theory; all with the IICP. She has also received a Certificate for Addictions with Maynooth College.

Lisa completed her Counselling and Psychotherapy Degree in 2015 and has been working in a Counselling Service since that time. Since 2018, Lisa has been working with vulnerable people with multiple mental health issues in the community. In 2019 she began working with Dublin Simon Community helping those experiencing Homelessness, Addictions, Trauma, and Suicide Ideation among many other issues.

Lisa feels that every person deserves to be treated with Respect, Kindness and Patience. It’s not always easy for a person to approach counselling for the first time and can be overwhelming. It is her belief that when people are given a safe, inviting space where they are listened to intently, understood with no judgement, a trusting therapeutic relationship can develop and the healing process can begin.

Therapy is a unique journey for each person, the counselling experience should be tailored around their individual needs and at their pace. This can begin with a person-centred approach, and following the client, the combination of CBT, Choice-Theory and Psychoeducation to progress on their journey.

Lisa is available for short term or long term counselling and has experience working with the following:
Anxiety
Depression
Addiction
Suicide Ideation
