About me:
Lee has successfully completed an honours degree in counselling and psychotherapy with the Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences. Lee also has a Business honours degree with University of Limerick.
Since 2018 Lee has gained valuable experience working with the ISPCC whereby she provided an active listening service to children under 18 empowering the children to voice their concerns knowing they were being listened to with no judgment. Lee has also worked in community settings providing face to face counselling in addiction creating a safe contained relational space for thoughtful reflections on personal situations in hopes of helping individuals gain practical insight.
Lee believes that people are unique, and each person has their individual story. Therefore, one therapy may not suit every person and their particular circumstances. Depending on the client’s needs and preferences Lee prefers to adopt an integrative approach using therapies such as CBT, Gestalt (roleplay) and general psychoeducation.
Lee is primarily concerned with working with diverse and marginalised individuals with complex needs helping to break down barriers to access intervention of high-quality treatment experience for all who need it. Lee provides a comfortable space in order to make clients feel comfortable and at ease in sessions by working at the clients’ pace on their desired concerns. Lee works relationally believing and knowing experimentally that damage and hurt happens relationally and will be healed relationally and that the primary relationship that needs to be healed and nurtured is with oneself.
