About me:

Jackie is a qualified counsellor & psychotherapist and is a member of the Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP), and she works to their ethical and professional standards.

Jackie is currently completing her diploma in Integrative Adolescent psychotherapy, and as part of her clinical placement she is available to work with children 12+

Jackie has experience working with a range of different difficulties including Anxiety, Depression, Low self esteem, Relationship Issues, Stress, Suicidal Ideation/bereavement, Financial problems, Trauma, Grief, Loss & Change, Acquired brain Injury & Stroke.

Jackie has worked with trauma survivors for over 20 years. She is passionate in her belief that all individuals have the power within to bring about positive change if given the right support such as counselling to do so. Jackie's aim is to offer a safe, confidential, non-judgmental place to support individuals make sense of their personal difficulty, develop the necessary skills to manage their life effectively and to live a life more fully & joyfully.

Jackie uses a person centered, holistic, collaborative side -by side approach to her work where she uses elements of Internal Family System, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Gestalt, Mindfulness, Psychoanalytic, Somatic Experience and Transactional Analysis to support individuals understand who they are, focusing on building resilience and self esteem and learn practical strategies and techniques to take the steps to change their life.
