About me:
Ivan holds a MA in Psychology and is a trainee in Gestalt psychotherapy at the Manchester Gestalt Centre. He is currently employed with Focus Ireland where he works with families who are experiencing homelessness.
Ivan believes in every person's capacity to improve the quality of their lives and he is dedicated to facilitating this process through a therapeutic relationship. He focuses on working in the here and now through a relational approach and places emphasis on the relationship between the therapist and the client. He offers a space for clients to explore the challenges that they bring into therapy through safe, supportive and confidential dialogue. He approaches psychotherapy holistically by working on the level of thoughts/beliefs, emotions, the body and the environment and believes we are influenced on all of these levels. Ivan also has a background in physical theatre where his work with images inspired an interest in working with dreams, for which he believes express our deep wisdom.
