About me:
Greta holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from IICP College (Dublin) and a Diploma in Trauma Informed Psychotherapy from the Greenane Centre. She is an accredited member of Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP), and follows a strict code of ethics and attends regular supervision to support her work. Greta also holds a diploma in Personal & Business Coaching from the Irish Lifecoach Institute. She volunteers with Cork ARC where she provides counselling to clients with a cancer diagnosis and their families.
Greta’s counselling approach is Humanistic and Integrative, which allows her to draw on several therapies and tailor them to meet the client’s individual needs. The therapies include, Person-centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Transactional Analysis, she also uses Mindfulness and Breathwork. She provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment in which a strong therapeutic relationship can be fostered, which she believes is essential for healing and growth. She believes that each person has the resources within to find the answers to their issues, with the help and facilitation of the therapist. Through exploration and collaboration, the client develops inner awareness of their patterns and can then adapt more healthy ways of coping, which result in improved confidence and self-esteem and a better life balance.
