About me:

Emily Grufferty is a qualified and accredited Counsellor holding a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a post graduate certificate in therapeutic based play skills. Emily also holds a BA in Social Studies and holds a certificate in Mindfulness Meditation. She is a member of the association of professional counsellors and psychotherapist’s, (APCP) and Play Therapy UK (PTUK).

Emily currently works with children and young people in a counselling/play therapy centre and has past experience of working with children and young people in community settings while working with the ISPCC, offering mentoring and counselling support in home and centre settings. Emily has experience in parenting support, youth group works and mentoring supervision and guidance as well as also working presently as a mental health support group coordinator.

Emily practices as an Integrative Counsellor and therapeutic play practitioner using elements of CBT, solution focused therapy, and mindfulness based therapy, adapting the therapy process to suit client’s individual needs.
