She is a Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist drawing from several different modalities depending on the client's needs and presenting issues. These include Person Centred Theory, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Internal Family Systems, Attachment theory and Somatic Experiencing. She is a Pre-Accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adheres to their code of ethics.
Catherine's therapeutic approach is person centred and she prioritises the creation of a safe, nurturing and non-judgemental space, where her clients feel comfortable to explore their deepest hurt and work towards reclaiming their wholeness. She believes that it is only when clients feel safe that healing can begin. Therefore, she ensures that her clients feel heard and held on their journey inward towards self discovery. Using compassionate inquiry her clients begin to develop insights and awareness into unresolved childhood beliefs, patterns and behaviours giving them the power to change. Catherine is dedicated to supporting her clients to build resources and to live a more meaningful life.
