About me:

Alisha O’Donovan is originally from the United States and has successfully completed an honours degree, a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, and an honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree.

Alisha is a fully qualified and licensed counsellor in the United States of America and an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). As a therapist, Alisha’s approach to psychotherapy is grounded in a unified approach to the science of clinical psychology that assimilates and integrates key insights from the major approaches (e.g., CBT, humanistic, person-centered) into a more coherent whole. The alliance between the client and therapist is a key factor in the therapeutic process.

Alisha aims to facilitate a safe and confidential space for self-exploration and change. Alisha starts off by learning more about you, your strengths, your goals, and any barriers that may be in the way. Alisha has extensive experience in working with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, suicide prevention, stress, trauma, relationship/intimacy conflicts, self-esteem, and personal exploration. Alisha firmly believes it takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, Alisha is committed to supporting and empowering you.
