Ian has a B.A. (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Munster Technological University (formerly CIT) and is an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
He has a flexible, integrative approach in which the counselling style is tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of each client. He provides a compassionate, non-judgmental environment in which people can feel safe and supported while exploring their issues. Ian is experienced in both short-term, solution-focused counselling and longer-term psychotherapy and believes that a genuine, mutually respectful relationship between the client and the therapist provides the necessary conditions for therapy to take place and meaningful growth and change to occur.
