About me:

Veronica’s approach is integrative incorporating Humanistic, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) (ACT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and (CFT) Compassion Focused Therapy as well as Solution-Focused and Choice Theory approaches.

Veronica is a fully qualified therapist with a BA Hons (First Class) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has been working in the therapeutic field since 2010 in online and face to face settings, across a wide range of sectors and diverse groups. Her further qualifications and studies include a graduate certificate from Maynooth University in Restorative Practice and Mediation, Practitioners Certificate in CBT (REBT), and Tractional Analysis 101 from the Berne Institute in the UK.

Veronica’s training was an integrative approach with included a wide variety of therapeutic orientations including: Person Centered, Humanistic, Existential, Gestalt, Family Systems, Transactional Analysis, CBT, and Mindfulness as well as Somatic concepts.

She is fully accredited with the Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland and is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Veronica finds people may come to therapy for help for different reasons at various points throughout life. She finds some may want to talk through issues, make sense of problems or change the ways they are feeling thinking or behaving which might be impacting on their lives. She has found that some people come for help for several sessions to put them on the right track, while others may attend for many months or even intermittently. Her approach is flexible to meet a person at where they are in life and she helps people towards finding the best way forward for them for their individual needs. She has an interest in how latest science and research supports therapy ideas and finds sharing this through psychoeducation helps many make meaning and make sense of their lives.

Veronica is available for both long and short-term therapy for individuals over the age of 18.
