About me:

Oonagh Hogan has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy which she studied in PCI College (2013). Along with this she also has a Bachelor of Social Science from UCC (1998), Masters of Philosophy in Ethnic and Racial Studies from Trinity College Dublin (2004) and a Diploma in Executive and Life Coaching (2007). Oonagh has also completed the Advanced Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).

Oonagh has a wide range of experience, because in addition to working as a psychotherapist, she has also worked with the HSE for the past fourteen years in a variety of settings and with people who have encountered many different and often challenging life experiences. She has also worked as a trainer privately for the past ten years and in recent years has focused this area of her work on mental health training using mainly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques.

Currently Oonagh works with adults over 18 years of age adopting a Person Centred Approach. In doing this, she adheres to the values of empathy, unconditional postive regard and genuineness. She combines these values with her training in CBT to support clients in working collaboratively towards the client’s own goals for therapy. Oonagh’s objective is to help others express themselves and heal in a safe, supportive, accepting and nurturing environment.
