About me:

Natalia is a student counsellor completing her Masters programme with ICHAS Limerick, which she is due to complete in August 2021. Her background is in Social Work and Social Care Work, providing her with experience in one to one support and family matters.

Natalia has worked with young children, ederly people and individuals with special needs. Natalia has lived in three different countries which has given her the opportunity to experience different cultures and the process of changing and adapting to new situations and environments.
She provides counselling and psychotherapy through Spanish/English/Bulgarian.

As a counsellor, Natalia aims to provide an all encompassing approach which fits to the client and their specific needs on their therapeutic journey. Natalia incorporates integrative, humanistic, and person centred theories in her approach which places a greater focus on growth through the clients specific perspective on the crisis, illness or difficulty. Also, she incorporates elements of CBT which encourages clients to leverage their unique skill sets, strengths and resources to make even the most difficult changes to their lives.

Through the creation of a safe space where clients can talk freely, Natalia employs simple talking and non-judgemental listening as a means to address the issues presenting at surface level as well as delving into the underlying challenges that are present from the past and present as well as how to deal with these into the future. Natalia believes that this should always be client led and allows the time to ensure each client feels comfortable at each stage of the process.

Through harbouring a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients, Natalia encourages the exploration of individual needs, expectations and life experiences. Natalia believes that this is central to improving self awareness for the client in the long term and also allows for further understanding and self-exploration of who they are as an individual and how they behave in their various relationships.

Natalia specializes in the following areas:
Personal development
Self Esteem
