About me:
Lyndsey works within the Person-Centred framework and utilises CBT and Psychodynamic approaches based on the clients needs. She has a particular interest in family systems and attachment theories as a means of helping clients come to terms with and to change relationship problems they experience in their lives. As part of continuous professional development Lyndsey has attended workshops and training on stress and resilience; online addictive behaviours and safeTALK (on recognising suicidal ideation).
In therapy, there is no ‘one size fits all’ and what works well for one client may not be effective for another. In session Lyndsey works with her clients to discover what will empower them in their lives, drawing on CBT techniques, exploring the self in past relationships and identifying behaviours and patterns that no longer serve their needs.
Lyndsey provides individual counselling in English with those 18 years and older.
Regardless of what may lead a client to seek help, it is Lyndsey’s belief believe that, in a safe, non-judgmental environment, everyone can overcome their challenges and through the work in therapy, grow and flourish and ultimately become the person they want to be.
