About me:

Qualification: Lotte holds an Msc in Clinical and Health Psychology from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium as well as an accredited four-year certificate in Relationship and Family Therapy in Belgium. In addition, she received training in EMDR (Level 1 and Level 2). She also took a course in Global Mental Health from the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma.

Approaches: systemic therapy, collaborative therapy, EMDR, culturally sensitive therapy.

Lotte is a graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland. She attends regular supervision and abides by the code of ethics of the PSI.

Lotte is available to work with individuals, couples, families, and children (from 6 onwards), on both short- and long-term basis. Lotte can provide therapy in English, Dutch, and French.

Lotte focuses on creating a non-judgmental, supportive and collaborative relationship with her clients. She has specialized in trauma care, including but not exclusively through EMDR. As a family therapist, she believes a person is always connected to his or her environment. Therapy can be a safe place to explore a person’s relationships, the impact of difficult events and traumas, and the strengths within a person and his/her environment to deal with these challenges. Lotte has experience with individuals and families from different cultural backgrounds.
