Qualification: Lloyd Horgan holds a BA (Hons) degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy.

Lloyd is trained in the application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), additionally operating on an integrative basis applying elements of other approaches such as Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and mindfulness-based techniques. Lloyd has additional qualifications in Applied Social Studies & Mental Health Nursing. Alongside the above, Lloyd has undertaken adequate suicide intervention/prevention training, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) training and facilitates mindfulness meditation groups with Limerick Mental Health Association.

Lloyd currently engages in regular clinical supervision and is a member of the professional body APCP. Lloyd is available for both short-term and long-term solution focused work using CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, graded exposure and mindfulness methods.

Lloyd has experience working with clients presenting with a variety of issues ranging from anxiety/depression to relationship issues and has a strong interest in working with young people and with clients presenting with stress and anxiety related disorders.

Lloyd believes that everybody from all walks of life can benefit from therapy and views the process as one of self-discovery and personal development.

Lloyds personal interests/hobbies include playing guitar and singing, keeping fit and trying new things which take him out of his comfort zone.
