About me:
Approach: Liz is a professionally trained Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist. Liz focuses on the person-centred approach to the therapeutic process. This relational way of practising psychotherapy provides the client with a safe space in order to develop a working therapeutic alliance.
Qualifications: Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and MA in Psychotherapy
Liz has a keen interest in working with survivors of trauma. She has completed training which focused on 'Understanding the Impact of Trauma' and the 'Use of Clinical Interventions". Liz has also studied the 'Trauma Recovery Model' which looks at how early attachment issues can impact the individual.
Liz is a Certified Associate and Fully Accredited member with the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and adheres to their 'Code of Ethics and Practice'.
Liz is available for short-term or long-term psycho-therapeutic work with individuals who are aged 18+.
Alongside, working with people who are experiencing life challenges, Liz also works in a 'Trauma-Informed Addiction Service' which specialises in issues around substance abuse. This includes the individual, family members and/or friends. Liz's psycho-therapeutic approach is shaped by each client's individual needs. Liz believes that each person deserves to have their story heard in an empathic and non-judgmental manner.
