Lauren is a training Psychotherapist completing her Masters at the Irish College of Humanities & Applied Sciences in 2022. She completed her Bachelor of Social Science degree with Honours (BSocSci) (Hons) at Rhodes University. She is a student member of the Association of Professional Counsellors & Psychotherapists (APCP). She follows a strict code of ethics and works closely with her supervisor to ensure the highest standard of support.
Lauren has a Person-Centred foundation but believes in integrating the most suitable techniques depending on the client, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Lauren engages in on-going training and she has had training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Grief and Bereavement, Online counselling and received extensive training when she volunteered for over a year with crisis support organisations in Ireland and the UK.
Lauren is available for short-term and long-term support. She believes in creating a strong therapeutic relationship and provides the utmost empathy and non-judgemental listening. She believes it is vital for the client to feel safe and accepted in therapy.
