About me:

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters in Art Therapy. She is a Fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society. Lauren has received training in infant mental health, domestic abuse and trauma, therapeutic crisis intervention and safeguarding.

Laurens clinical experience includes child & adolescent emotional well-being, child and adult mental health and autism spectrum disorders. Since 2015, Lauren has worked with adults and families with complex needs in homeless and residential services.

Laurens approach to art therapy incorporates both psychodynamic non-directive therapy and solution focused directive therapy, sessions are tailored to the individual needs of the clients.

Lauren aims to provide a safe, non-judgmental and collaborative relationship with clients, for them to explore, at their own pace, what has brought them to therapy. Laurens approach as a therapist is integrative, informed by the psychodynamic perspective, developmental psychology and current evidence based approaches.

Lauren is available for both long term & short term/solution focused work and works with adults and children from 4 years and older.
