Qualifications : Master degree in Applied Developmental Psychology (Eötvös Loránd University Hungary) Master in Clinical Psychology (Université Paris 13), PhD in Cross-cultural Clinical Psychology (Université Paris 13 – Sorbonne Paris Cité)

Laura is specialized in Cross-cultural, Developmental and Clinical psychology. She has trained in Integrative and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. She is currently completing her training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at Dublin Business School. Laura has completed specialized training on trauma (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, level 1), intercultural psychology (Psychiatrie Transculturelle – Université Paris XIII) and sexual identity. She regularly delivers workshops on burnout prevention and the impact of stress and trauma on the mind and body. She has an interest in issues related to expatriation, living in multiple languages and the challenges and joys of living abroad. She has completed trainings and has published papers on these subjects. Laura is a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland and her work is under constant supervision.

Laura is available for long term support. Her work is primarily based on psychodynamic, psychoanalytic theories and she also received training in Integrative Psychotherapy. She believes that the therapy has to be attuned to the needs of clients.

Laura has extensive international clinical experience in working with clients across the lifespan. She has worked in hospitals in Hungary and France and in small NGO-s in France and in Ireland. She has also gained experience in working in humanitarian contexts in Jamaica, France (Dunkirk and Calais) and Greece (Thessaloniki).

Laura provides therapy in English, Hungarian and French to adults.

Laura believes that non-judgmental listening in a safe space allows clients to put difficult thoughts and experiences into words which allows the “taming” of powerful and painful emotions. Laura aims to create non-judgemental curiosity in clients to discover what lies beyond their symptoms and help them develop efficient ways to cope with future challenges.

Panic attacks
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Traumatic experiences (single incident and developmental)
