Karen has an extensive career helping people within the healthcare setting. She has a keen interest in supporting those struggling with mental health issues. Karen has a degree in psychology, and a Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy from CIT. She is pre accredited IACP member. She is a trauma informed therapist, an intuitive eating trainer, and a Gottman couples counsellor making her uniquely trained in relational and eating disorder issues.
Karen uses a person-centred and integrated approach in her work, creating a safe, and trusting space for her clients to explore their difficulties. Being non-judgmental, empathic and present to her clients is her core value, supporting development of a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients.
Karen integrates Person Centred Approach, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis (TA), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and compassion focussed mindfulness.
