Áine Maria is currently working towards an MA in Gestalt Psychotherapy with the Gestalt Institute of Ireland, and Carlow Institute of Technology.
She is a Student Member of the IACP (Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adheres to their Code of Ethics.
Working as a Trainee (Gestalt) Psychotherapist with extensive life and business experience, Áine Maria knows first-hand that the processes and mechanisms for improving daily life can seem anything but straightforward, especially so in a Global Pandemic. The Covid19 Pandemic has profoundly impacted our experience of contact with others, our relationship with the world, and our sense of self.
Áine Maria’s works with clients to support them in building their awareness of their experience and personal needs, and to support them in taking action in their world. The ability to adjust creatively is necessary for health, vitality and wellbeing in a complex and changing world. She values and respects the uniqueness of each client, their individual circumstances, complexities, struggles, resiliences, decisions and choices. Ultimately she hopes to support clients develop a more coherent sense of their unified self, standing on more solid ground.
Áine Maria is available for both short and long term work with clients and works on a one-to-one basis. She maintains a high standard of therapeutic practice by attending supervision with a qualified external supervisor, in addition to regular supervision and supervised skills training and practice as part of her MA in Gestalt Psychotherapy.
Áine Maria (FCPA) also holds a Masters in Business (Trinity College), and a Higher Diploma in Executive Coaching (UCC) and has extensive experience of leading organisations, and coaching leaders. She is also a qualified Yoga Teacher, and has recently completed an advanced practitioners programme.
