In her work, Helen uses a person-centred approach, while also drawing on relative aspects of different theories that may assist with the therapeutic process. Helen feels this integrated approach best allows for therapy that tailors to each individual client. She believes that the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is key to effective therapy whilst creating a pathway for healing and growth.
Helen realises her job as a therapist is to help clients acknowledge, experience and cope with the realities of life. She believes the safe, non-judgmental space of therapy will allow her clients to address difficulties in their lives that are causing distress. Helen hopes the therapy will be a safe place for her client to resolve any issues from the past, learn to be more present in the moment and build toward a positive future.
Helen is available to work with adults, 18 years and over, on a short or long term basis determined by the needs of each client.
