type of services:
Eoghan is currently completing an MA in Counselling & Psychotherapy with the Irish College of Applied Humanities and Sciences (ICAHS)
Approaches: Integrative, Humanistic-Existential, CBT, Lifestyle Management
Eoghan’s approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy is Integrative, where both the client and he collaborate to select the style of therapy suited to each client. In this way Eoghan is flexible in his approach and can adapt to the needs of the client.
His philosophy on Therapy is that everyone has their own specific vulnerabilities. During times of difficulty in our lives, these vulnerabilities may intensify and threaten our mental health causing us pain and suffering. Healing can only come about when the client is ready and willing to accept and confront these vulnerabilities. Eoghan’s goal is to help his clients find the self-compassion, self- awareness and courage to take control and overcome whatever it is life has thrown at them.
Eoghan is available for both short and long term work with clients and works on a one-to-one basis. He maintains a high standard of therapeutic practice by attending supervision with a qualified external supervisor.
He is a Student member of APCP (Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland) and adheres to their Code of Ethics.
As well as studying to become a Counsellor & Psychotherapist, Eoghan is an ISCP Chartered Physiotherapist and specialises in the area of Chronic Pain and Lifestyle Management. With this background, Eoghan believes that our physical and mental health are intrinsically linked where one may be used to benefit the other.
