Ellie believes therapy is a collaborative process, where the individual is the master of their own change and therapist provides guidance on the tools needed for their personal development, self-esteem and help in working on their distresses and life challenges. An empathic listener Ellie is dedicated to helping people to utilize their own resources to become the best version on themselves.
During the course of the degree Ellie has been trained in a number of different approaches. Ellie believes in tailoring the approach to suit the specific needs and preferences of each individual client and therefore works from an integrative approach.
Ellie draws on a variety of therapeutic frameworks and concepts in her work with clients which include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Gestalt Role Play, Psychodynamic and general psychoeducation.
A safe, non-judgmental environment is provided at all times where clients can explore their issues in the strictest confidence.
Ellie is a pre-accredited member of APCP and adheres to their best practice guidelines and code of ethics.
