About me:
Deirdre holds a B.A. (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from MTU and is a pre-accredited member of the IACP. She also holds a certificate in Choice Theory & Reality Therapy from the Glasser Institute of Ireland, a certificate in Drugs Counseling & Interventions from UCD & MQI and a certificate in Sexual Health Promotion from the HSE.
Drawing from her Integrative and Humanistic training and, always working from a person centred base, Deirdre provides support in underpinning and developing coping skills, self-awareness and resources within her clients.
Deirdre believes that a “one size fits all” approach is not possible and uses a range of therapeutic approaches including Attachment, Internal Family Systems, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness and some behavioral therapies, amongst others.
Deirdre works with adults and is available for both short-term and long-term work.
Deirdre provides a safe and supportive environment where clients of any age or ethnicity can begin the sometimes daunting journey of exploring their issues and begin the healing process. She is guided by the needs of the client, always working in an integrative person-centered manner, with the relationship between client and counsellor being most important.
