About me:
Approach: Integrative & Humanistic
Cliona Hatano is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, having received her BA(Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Cork Institute of Technology (now Munster Technological University).
Her ethos is simple, she works with individuals and their unique stories. Her aim as a therapist is to gently uncover root causes of emotional distress and patterns of behaviour and to help clients explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours so that they can better understand themselves and others. She helps clients find their own solutions, whether that's making effective changes in their lives or finding ways to cope with their problem in order to feel more fulfilled by their lives.
The model she uses for her work is integrative, which means that she works from a combined theoretical base using the most appropriate therapeutic approaches for her clients.
Cliona is an accredited member of IACP (Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy - M11409) and she is available for short and longer term therapeutic work.
