Áine holds a BA (Honours) Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy having completed a
four year professional training course in Cork Institute of Technology (CIT). She has been
working in private practice since 2016.
Welcome. Áine is an accredited Psychotherapist with many years of experience working in different therapeutic environments. Áine is trauma informed and uses a person-centered approach. Her practice includes Gestalt therapy, Internal Family Systems, Transaction Analysis and CBT. Áine incorporates somatic experiencing, mindfulness, and self-care practices into her work. She is currently studying a heart based relational neuroscience program with Dr. Bonnie Badenoch.
Áine endeavours to offer a compassionate listening space for individuals to explore issues that may be causing challenges in life today. She passionately believes connection is a biological imperative and more needed now than ever before!
Intrinsic to Áines practice is a deep respect, openness, and compassion for all with whom she has the privilege to work with. In this space both Áine and the individual can take time together to reflect on how best to support and develop resilience to live a full and whole life.
Currently Áine is an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and
Psychotherapy (IACP) and abides by their professional and ethical code of conduct in line
with best practices in the area of counselling and psychotherapy. She attends regular
supervision to support her work. Áine is available for both short term and long term work.
