Wendy van der Velden is an integrative counselor who received her BA in counseling and psychotherapy skills with ICHAS in limerick in 2012. She is a fully accredited member of APCP, and adheres to APCP’s codes and ethics.
Basing her approach on existential and humanistic concepts, Wendy can do long term counseling if needed but also does short term, solution focused CBT sessions. Having done a mindfulness course in 2019, this is also integrated in Wendy’s counseling approach.
Wendy aims to be versatile and effective with a wide range of problems and to create a warm,non-judgmental and confidential environment. Counseling can be in English or Dutch.
Wendy also has an interest in equine assisted therapy which is experiential in nature and has elements of gestalt and reality therapy and mindfulness with the horse. Wendy is EAGALA trained and Elista certified in this.
Wendy supports adults over 18 and her interests are:
- bereavement and loss,
- low self esteem,
- life transitions,
- couples therapy,
- self development.
