Veronica’s approach is Integrative including using a Humanistic Approach and incorporating techniques and tools from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Transactional Analysis as well as psycho-education.
Veronica has an innate interest in understanding human nature and considers facilitating the client to tell their story in their own words in a non-judgmental, respectful and emphatic way to be of the upmost importance. She believes past experiences affect present functioning, and to meet the specific needs of each client uses techniques and tools from diverse approaches to move towards wellness. Her approach includes helping clients to uncover their personal meaning of wellness and enabling clients to reach their own individuals own goals.
Veronica believes that therapy can be a journey to awareness and wellness. That the destination may change, and people can reach many comfortable stop off point on the journey. Therefore, Veronica is available for both long and short-term therapy.
Veronica has a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy (First Class). She is an individual member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and is pre-accredited with the Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland. She continually engages in ongoing professional development.
