Qualification: M.A Counselling and Psychotherapy
Approach: Sinead’s approach to her client work is fundamentally humanistic and integrative drawing on various aspects of psychological theories such as Psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive behavioural therapy, Multimodal therapy, Solution focused brief therapy, Person centred counselling and Psycho education.
Sinead received her Master’s in counselling in psychotherapy in 2012 and prior to that has successfully completed the following training courses in: suicide intervention skills, Youth & suicide, Sexual violence, rape and sexual assault and various workshops relating to Inner child work, trauma and domestic and sexual abuse.
She is currently an accredited member of the Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland and adheres to the Codes of practice of the association while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
She is available for short term, solution focused work and long term clients, adults only on an individual basis.
She offers a non judgemental supportive environment allowing clients to express and explore emotions. She believes in the importance of building a positive therapeutic relationship with her clients and also believes in empowering them with her counselling skills to help find the answers. She creates a warm, safe therapeutic setting where the client will be listened to and feels accepted, in return facilitating the client to develop greater understanding of their thoughts and feelings.
Sinead has been working with clients since 2012 and has been an active therapist with MyMind since 2014 where she has worked with clients experiencing many issues including but (not inclusive to)
