Approaches: Humanistic and Integrative, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Marie has completed a Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and she holds a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School. Marie’s training was in the Humanistic and Integrative model of psychotherapy, and she draws upon a number of therapeutic approaches and works with each client to understand his/her individual needs.
Marie works with adult individuals, on a one-to-one basis, and provides clients the opportunity to explore any issues or problems that they are experiencing in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and confidential environment. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of Marie’s approach and the establishment of a strong working alliance with each client based on empathy, collaboration, mutual trust and respect is vital. Marie believes that by engaging in the therapeutic relationship, the client can gain greater self-awareness and acceptance and this facilitates personal development and change.
