Qualification: Currently working towards M.A Counselling & Psychotherapy (ICHAS), Higher Diploma in Psychology (UCC), B.A. (Hons) in Social Care (C.I.T)
Louise is working with MyMind as a trainee psychotherapist, she uses a humanistic and integrative approach to psychotherapy and counselling. This integrative perspective allows her to adapt her approach to the individual needs of each client within the therapeutic space. Louise has attended training in Safe Talk, Assist, Children First & CPI.
She is a student member of the Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland (APCP) and adheres to the Code of Ethics set out by this accrediting body. Louise upholds a high standard of therapeutic practice with clients by attending on-going professional supervision. She is available for short term solution focused work and long-term work with adults.
Louise has over eighteen years’ experience working in social care with young people in care, intellectual disability services and homeless services. She believes in the quality of the therapeutic relationship to provide a safe and supportive space for clients.
