Karolina Jurasik holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from University of Wroclaw. She is a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland and she attends regular supervision as part of her ethical commitment to her work.
She has practiced in Poland at the Psychological Counselling and Guidance Service for Children and also at the Counselling Centre of the University of Wroclaw.
Karolina has been working with MyMind since June 2013, providing psychological support and therapy for adults, children and adolescents. She also sees couples and families as she has a particular interest in relationship challenges and family dynamics. Karolina is a facilitator of workshops and training especially in the areas of personal development, motivation, body image and assertiveness.
Continuing professional development is at the core of Karolina’s practice. For the last three years, she attended various courses and training including Couples Counselling (PCI) and Family Therapy (IICP).
In her work, Karolina uses integrative approach, joining together a variety of techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through Person-centred, Mindfulness and Systemic Therapy.
She believes that people have the ability and strength to work through their problems, when provided with the time and support. Her priority is to create a close, compassionate and safe relationship with her clients to encourage them to overcome their difficulties and reach their full potential. Karolina is available for both short and long-term therapy.
