Approach: Humanistic and Integrative, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Jennifer Barton holds an Hons BA in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Dublin Business School) and is currently completing her Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy (Cork Institute of Technology). She is an accredited member of IACP (Irish Association of Counselling Psychotherapy) and is currently pursuing her accreditation in Gottman Couple Therapy.
Jennifer’s therapeutic approach is integrative and person-centred, influenced by CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Psychodyamic where appropriate. Above all she facilitates a safe, supportive, nurturing environment facilitating the client to to better understand themselves and their problems, and to find more satisfying ways of living.
Having spent over a decade in a Corporate Business Environment, Jennifer has a special interest in dealing with people who experience issues within the Workplace (e.g. work stress, bullying/intimidation etc). Additionally Jennifer (who is a fluent German speaker) is happy to work through German for those who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their native language.
