Hana obtained her master’s degree from Charles University in Prague in 2008. She is a Graduate Member of Psychological Society of Ireland and she is working towards FTAI registration. She receives regular and ongoing supervision.
Hana works in both, short and long term, therapy settings.
Depending on the client’s issue, Hana uses a variety of techniques based on systemic, family, solution focused and narrative therapy. She co-constructs non-judgmental environment together with her clients and focuses on decreasing problematic symptoms and finding solution.
Hana provides therapy in English, Czech and Slovak languages.
She works with individuals, couples, adolescents and children (from 6 years old)
Since 2017 she has been working in MyMind with individuals suffering from wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, traumatic experience, stress and work-related problems. Between 2002 – 2008, Hana gained extensive experience working with people with addiction issues who were clients of Drop In (Centre for Treatment and Prevention of Drug Addiction). Between 2008 and 2012, Hana worked with children and families with behavioural and relationship difficulties and with children with special needs.
Hana believes that all clients have the capacity to overcome their difficulties and she, as a counsellor, facilitates the creation of a safe environment for a respectful and supportive dialogue.
