Grainne Jordan is a fully accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a HETAC in Applied Social Studies in Counselling and has undertaken Professional Certification in CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Art Therapies and EMDR.
Grainne understands that despite our best efforts, there are times when life can become difficult and situations can become overwhelming, leading a person to feel frustrated and stuck.
It is with this in mind, that Grainne’s approach is active. She works with individuals to explore how they feel and the effects their challenge(s) is having on them in a confidential, non-judgmental place where one can speak openly. Grainne believes therapy works “in the same way a greenhouse provides the optimal conditions for plants to grow and thrive – therapy provides the optimal conditions for humans to do the same”.
Grainne Jordan has a particular interest in strengthening clients:
And works with clients experiencing:
- Heightened anxiety
- Low mood / depression
- Early parenting issues
- Bereavement and loss
- Obsessions / phobias
