Approach: Humanistic and Psycho-dynamic
Geraldine is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists (IAHIP), Her qualifications include a Masters in Psychotherapy, and a Higher Diploma in same along with a BA in Social Studies. Geraldine is committed to continual training, particularly in the areas of attachment theory and early developmental trauma.
Geraldine works with the full range of human experience, all of you is welcome. At the heart of the therapeutic process is the relationship between client and therapist, with this in mind Geraldine practises in an empathetic and compassionate manner. It is her belief that how we feel towards ourselves is pivotal to growth and change. As a psycho-dynamic therapist Geraldine understands our behaviour and emotions to be influenced by our early experiences. A strong proponent of attachment theory, she utilises the theories of Bowlby, Winnicott, and McCluskey in her work. Geraldine is committed to supporting her client in delving beneath the presenting issue in order to make sense of what really may be going on.
Geraldine is available to see clients for both short and long term work.
