Approach: Humanistic and Integrative
Geraldine is a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor. Geraldine uses an Integrative and Humanistic approach to psychotherapy and counselling and believes in the quality of the therapeutic relationship to provide a safe and supportive space for clients.
Geraldine holds an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy with University College Cork having completed her training with the Turning Point Institute (TPI). She is also a Sociology, International Law and Politics graduate and holds a BA (Hons) from Queen’s University Belfast and an MA from Dublin City University. She is working towards accreditation with both the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP). Geraldine adheres to the code of ethics as set out by both accrediting bodies.
Geraldine works from a relational model and incorporates elements of psycho-education in facilitating sessions in supporting clients’ self-awareness development and personal growth. As an integrative therapist Geraldine adapts her approach depending on the individual client to ensure that their needs are addressed. Geraldine is available for both long and short-term therapy sessions.
