Approach: Humanistic- Integrative, Person-Centred Therapy.
Dorota is currently completing her MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy with the Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences in Limerick. Dorota believes that every client should be treated individually, so she adapts therapy to suit each client’s unique needs. Integrative therapy combines different approaches which helps to modify standard treatment, making it more flexible then traditional singular forms of counselling.
Working as a trainee in My Mind, Dorota uses a Humanistic Approach, emphasizing on self-efficacy and the enhancement of the client’s well-being and self-development. Knowing, understanding and accepting ourselves and our emotions might effectively help us to find personal goals and solutions to resolve problems. Dorota understands that the relationship between the client and therapist is very important and she insists on creating safe personal space in a non-judgmental, empathetic way with unconditional positive regards to the client.
Dorota holds BA (Hons) in Social Science from University of Legnica, Poland. She complies to a Code of Ethics, set out by an accredited body and maintains therapeutic standards of her work by being in constant contact with her clinical supervisor.
