Approach: Integrative and Humanistic Counselling & Psychotherapy
Deirdre O’Reardon is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist having graduated from Cork Institute of Technology with a B.A (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy. Deirdre uses a person-centred and integrated approach in her work and is focused on creating a safe and trusting space for her clients to explore issues.
She believes that by being non-judgmental, empathetic and by actively listening to her clients she provides the conditions necessary to mutually develop an effective therapeutic relationship. She offers a number of approaches in her work. These include Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Gestalt.
Deirdre is a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (I.A.C.P.). She follows strict code of ethics and attends regular supervision.
