Darlene is currently working towards her MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy with the Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences (ICHAS). Working as a trainee psychotherapist, Darlene uses a Humanistic and Integrative approach to psychotherapy and counselling. This integrative perspective allows Darlene to adapt her approach to the individual needs of each client within the therapeutic space. She believes in working with each client to reach their personal goals for therapy and providing a safe space where clients can discuss their issues with the aim of gaining a better understanding of themselves and bringing about personal acceptance.
Darlene holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology from National University of Ireland, Maynooth and a Postgraduate Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School. She is a student member of the Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland (APCP) and adheres to the Code of Ethics as set out by this accrediting body. Darlene maintains a high standard of therapeutic practice with clients by attending on-going professional supervision.
